Job Duties:

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the office location, that is heavily focused on specialized engineering, load testing and proprietary instrumentation installation and monitoring. As such, it touches dimensions of engineering, design and construction to a degree that differentiates it from most other location manager roles, even within our own company, and requires specialized, hands‐on experience in these areas to be effective in discharging the required responsibilities. Direct office efforts in obtaining work through clients and prospective clients. Coordinate project proposals with help from administrative, marketing and operations personnel. Make decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities. Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies. Solve unprecedented engineering problems. Maintain profitability; ensure quality, safety and ethical standards are met. Continuously seek opportunities to commercialize the full value the organization brings to assignments. Continuously identify growth opportunities for the organization. Manage the operations of the unit with support of intermediate managers. Recommend facilities, personnel, and funds required for programs directly related with and directed toward fulfillment of overall company objectives. Review contract terms and conditions and Master Service Agreements using proven ability to comprehend nuances of legal contract language and negotiate terms in the best interest of the company. Mentor these skills in subordinates. Plan and implement staff training and development plans for professional staff as well as perform annual performance evaluations and development plans. Manage, approve and coordinate with HR personnel recruiting, hiring, and termination within office. Direct the invoicing and collection effort to ensure prompt submittal and timely collection of accounts receivable to meet financial ratio goals. Monitor and control project budgets, and scheduling, and taking necessary corrective action. Review and approve all “Held Charges” and “Write‐offs” on a monthly basis, and monitor “Closing” of completed and inactive projects. Direct and monitor the AC’s Aged Receivables (AR) and direct collection efforts to maintain cash position and flow. Review timesheets weekly to verify appropriate use of staff resources, utilization, and accurate data leading to the computation of employee pay, and project/overhead charges. Review weekly staff utilization and billable hours reports. Review project setup sheets to assure completeness and accuracy, and that appropriate fee and budget is set. Prepare a quarterly backlog estimate including all active and prospective projects. Ensure that commitments to clients are met in both timeliness and accuracy. Direct the location’s marketing efforts by participating at a leadership level in marketing meetings, making “go/no‐go” decisions, and developing and maintaining good relationships with clients and potential clients. Meet utilization goals as determined by Area or Regional Manager. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Business.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

10 years of engineering, project management experience with at least 2 years in managerial/supervisory role.
