Job Description
Fugro Marine Geotechnics service line provides marine geotechnical services to determine and manage the ground risk associated with marine project development. Using technical expertise, advanced exploration tools, field and laboratory testing, computer simulations and quantitative methods, we identify, evaluate and resolve your geotechnical design challenges.
The Site Manager is responsible to ensure effective and efficient execution of the agreed work package in such a way that the QHSSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met. This role will lead Marine Geotechnical project teams to achieve an optimal balance between cost, time, quality, and risk.
Job Responsibilities
Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
Ensures the field phase of the project is conducted in full compliance with Company’s Safety Management System and Quality Management System.
Ensures the field phase of the project is conducted in full accordance with Company’s Project Execution Plan.
Assists Project Manager with advance planning and the Project Execution Plan.
Reviews critical components of contract with Project Manager.
Acts as single point of responsibility for field operation.
Ultimately responsible for all communication between field and office.
Ensures that all required field reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Provides direction too technical, marine and data acquisition crew.
Actively engages the technical, marine and data acquisition crew, and acts as arbitrator in disputes.
Administers change management in the field.
Job Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
Possess current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
Possess a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Physical or Environmental Sciences preferred.
Have 3 years or more experience as a site manager and or similar.
Offshore experience required.
General knowledge of data acquisition systems and marine operations
Proficient user of MS Office Suite; and intermediate skill level and other in-house geoscience software.
