The role
As a Survey Support Engineer you will be working in a hybrid role primarily within the Survey Workshop with some travel to support mobilisations of projects. You will be responsible for the preparation, testing and maintenance of positioning equipment, surface and subsea survey equipment, IT equipment and data acquisition systems within the workshop and on-site.
Supporting the Workshop Supervisor and as part of the Survey Workshop and Project Team, as a unit, you will finalise equipment for the services we provide, as defined by the onshore and offshore Project Teams.
Undertaking testing, maintenance and repair of all types equipment and associated software
Maintaining QC test, maintenance and repair records for this equipment, ensuring technical and equipment registers are kept up to date
Assisting with the mobilisation of equipment on-site
Ensuring adequate stock levels of spares are maintained
Providing support to offshore personnel, operations, Project Managers and other Fugro entities
Continually seeking new working methods, technology and cost reductions to improve performance
Who we’re looking for:
HNC/HND in Electronics/Computer Science
Vast experience in Electronics fault finding
Good knowledge of general PC and network configuration and software
Prior experience in marine survey environment
Valid, full UK driving licence
Based within commuting distance of the Aberdeen office
