We currently run a number of training courses that are open to external and internal applicants.

ROV Training Programme

Our very popular ROV training course provides a combination of hands-on experience and structured studies designed to equip you with the ROV skills you need for working offshore.

The centre has adjacent quayside that will give you contact with vessels as well as mobilisation and ROV maintenance activities. You’ll make good use of the centre’s facilities, which include a state-of-the-art ROV simulator and workshops for fibre-optics and hydraulics training – perfect for helping you to master specific maintenance and repairs techniques.

Applied Hydrographic Survey Programme

Whether you are aiming to be a hydrographic surveyor or already work in hydrography, our internationally recognised International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Category B programme is designed to help you build skills in the science and technology of hydrography and move forward in your career.

Delivered by experienced professionals with a global reputation for hydrography, it combines practical and theoretical training to cover all the basic and essential subject requirements of the FIG/IHO/ICA S-5B Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors.
