Following successful delivery of recent cable-lay and trenching projects for the renewables sector, Fugro has secured three contracts for its trenching services for oil and gas clients. The contracts will see its high performance Q1400 trenching systems deployed in the North Sea over the next 12 months.
Fugro has been contracted by SP Energy Networks (an Iberdrola company) to deploy the Roames service over 13,200 circuit kilometres of the utility company’s overhead power line network in Scotland and Wales as an integral part of their Virtual World Asset Management innovation project.
Fugro has been awarded a contract by BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd for the provision of wellhead and riser monitoring services.
Fugro successfully completes the trenching and burial of inter-array cables for CT Offshore and provides unexploded ordnance (UXO) survey support at the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm.
After a very successful first full year of operation in 2013 on the chartered in vessel Havila Phoenix completing 4 Oil and Gas projects with 60km of trenching, one of the two Fugro Subsea Services owned and operated Q1400 trenching systems has now been mobilised and fully integrated onto the FSSL operated multipurpose subsea construction vessel Fugro Saltire ready for a busy 2014.
