Fugro staff carry out conventional land survey activities for cadastral and property surveys and in relation to the exploration and development of oil and gas resources, metals and minerals. GPS plays an important role in many of Fugro's survey activities today, from the establishment of first order geodetic control points to the co-ordination of street lamp posts to populate a GIS database.

The company also provides services in support of large construction and engineering projects and regulatory and ecological assessment surveys.
