Human activities like construction, oil and gas production influence the
surface, the near by situated constructions and the possible objects to build.
This influence can cause direct noticeable damage, but also damage that arises
or is noticed later on. In order to minimize these influences and to prevent
damage Fugro executes a number of measurements during the different
construction phases and the operational phase. Monitoring the behaviour of the
surface and constructions makes it possible to prevent, minimize or at least
manage risks associated with this behaviour.
