Multibeam echosounder systems and the associated large data volumes require extensively automated systems to efficiently acquire, interpret and present the data. Starfix.Multibeam acquires the multibeam echosounder data from any commercially available system and formats the data for Starfix.Surface. It further provides processing facilities as Starfix.SwathEdit to clean and QC the data. The Starfix.Surface application creates imagery that allows analysis and interrogation by Clients' Geographical Information Systems.

The following example shows a Surface model that combines both multibeam echosounder data and traditional land survey data. Such models are typically used in feasibility studies for construction projects.

The model can then be used to generate "Fly Through" videos that provides the viewer with an overall overview. This is particularly useful for pipeline route pre-engineering studies.
