The certification was conducted by TTI staff at Texas A&M University in support of the department’s implementation of its ride quality specifications (SS 5880 and Item 585).

The latest ARAN 9000 pavement and asset data collection system has been certified using a newly designed roughness subsystem which uses intelligent algorithms, tuned filtering, and tight synchronization to provide results with the highest accuracy and repeatability at the network-level as well as at the project-level.

Fugro follows the industry’s stringent requirements that are adopted by TTI to certify inertial profilers. “We are glad the new inertial profiler has met all the industry requirements for repeatability and accuracy specified in the test method. The project-level accuracy on network-level projects helps to ensure that the collection equipment can deliver to specification,” said Hitesh Shah, Director of Technology Development at Fugro Roadware.
