Offshore Europe A One Stop Shop Window For Fugro

Fugro GEOS will be highlighting its metocean measurement services, and structural monitoring and wellhead instrumentation services on the Fugro stand (3D181) at SPE Offshore Europe, Europe’s largest oil and gas conference and exhibition.

Aberdeen
02 Sep 2013

Fugro GEOS experts will be on hand to advise visitors on how these services can overcome the unique challenges of offshore exploration and production. Their advice will be an invaluable first step in enabling potential clients to overcome challenges thanks to a detailed understanding of the metocean conditions and their effect on exploration and production operations.

The company’s metocean measurement services cover a wide range of metocean parameters, including physical oceanographic measurements (currents, waves, water levels) and meteorological measurements (wind, pressure, air temperature, etc). From challenging deepwater locations to shallow water, Fugro GEOS’ specialists can apply their extensive experience in any region around the world. Depending on the application and environment, data are recorded and can be supplied in real-time or as a report.

Structural monitoring and riser management play an important role in Fugro GEOS’ offerings, with a range of systems and services for the measurement and monitoring of platform, vessel, wellhead and riser response. Solutions are developed using appropriate sensors and instrumentation to suit the individual project requirements; these can be standard systems or fully customised solutions.

Other Fugro Group companies exhibiting at SPE Offshore Europe will be featuring ROV services, subsea engineering and simulation; and geophysical and geotechnical surveying. In all instances experts will be on hand to give advice and recommendations.

More than 1,500 companies are exhibiting at the multi-faceted event that reflects the E&P community’s desire for continuous learning, showcasing the innovation, solutions and tools required to compete in an accelerating technology race in an increasingly complex business.

The four-day show, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, is expected to attract some 50,000 visitors from around the globe including engineers, technical specialists, industry leaders and experts, who will be sharing ideas and debating the issues of the moment in the upstream industry. Admission to both the exhibition and conference is free of charge.
