Position

In a two-year period, you will work for Fugro operating companies in two of the following countries: Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. As a trainee, you will work on geotechnical investigations offshore, near-shore and on land. You will perform field work and provide management support during project preparation. You will analyse and report the collected data, and use state-of-the-art techniques to provide safe and economic foundation design for a wide variety of structures. Throughout the course of the two years, you will benefit from several weeks of courses. Following your trainee period, together we will plan your career with Fugro.

Position requirements

• University degree in civil engineering, engineering geology or equivalent.
• Willingness to work and live for at least one year in a foreign country, and the flexibility to work offshore for limited periods of time.
• Communication capabilities to lead and participate in a team, as well as to transmit information in a professional manner.
• Being a team player and enjoy working with colleagues.
• International focus, because you will participate in multi-national, multi-cultural teams at locations all over the world.
• Ability to communicate and report in English fluently.
• Interested in technical research, inquisitive about technical developments, and able to find innovative solutions.
• A medical examination is mandatory.
• Candidates should possess authorization to work and live in at least one of the mentioned European countries.
