Fugro Marine Services BV is responsible for the management of the Fugro fleet and offers fleet management and fleet development services including maintenance management, QHSE,  crewing and project management (newbuilding and conversions) .

The Company
 
Fugro Marine Services [FMS] is a rapidly expanding Fugro operating company responsible for the management of the Fugro fleet. In addition FMS supervises a number of new building projects and provides maritime expertise to Fugro at large.
 
Fugro Marine Services operates from offices in Leidschendam and Singapore.
 
The continued growth and success of Fugro is the reason that Fugro Marine Services is now looking to employ more personnel for its office in Leidschendam, The Netherlands.

Task & Responsibilities
 
  • Manages, co-ordinates and reports on the design appraisal, specifications, bench marking, technical meetings, inspections, trials and deliveries within his discipline;
  • Communicates in accordance with agreed communication lines with internal and external parties such as Class, Flag State Authorities, suppliers and other parties involved.;
  • Keeps abreast with applicable rules, regulations, requirements and recommendations and takes a pro-active approach towards new opportunities, concepts, (standard) designs etc within his discipline;
  • Assists other departments in evaluating new and/or existing projects, bench marks, improves specifications and proposes solutions to technical problems;
  • Ensures that projects, within the area of responsibilities, are executed in accordance with the specification, in time and within the approved budgets;
  • Provides guidance to site team(s) during construction.
 
position requirements
  • 3 years relevant working experience gained in the shipping/offshore industry in a similar role;
  • Relevant education at higher vocational level (BSc.);
  • Sound knowledge of shipping industry legislation and industry standards;
  • Good communication skills and having a pro-active approach;
  • Ability to work in a team and also independently;
  • Willing to travel on regular basis;
  • Experience with MS Office related software;
  • Fluent in English verbally and in writing.
