CSR organisation

We are aware of increasing expectations in terms of our corporate citizenship, in line with a general trend which places more attention on governance and CSR. We believe we are able to find the right balance between meeting these demands whilst continuing on our growth path. Our compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines further strengthens our CSR efforts.

The Corporate Social Responsibility agenda is set by our Board of Management and CSR is an intrinsic part of our day-to-day operations at Fugro. The CSR coordinator reports directly to the Chairman of the Board of Management in order to promote and coordinate this agenda. The individual operating companies are responsible for local implementation of relevant practices within the policy framework set by the Board of Management.

CSR policy assurance

Our CSR efforts are an integral part of our operations, and are embedded in our Code of Conduct (General Business Principles), Business Partner Code and Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. We take accepted guidelines and standards such as OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 into account and actively seek the opinions and ideas of our stakeholders through regular consultations. We use customer satisfaction surveys, peer reviews, internal and external audits, shareholders’ meetings and meetings with works councils in order to maintain an open dialogue on CSR efforts.
